The ever rising cost of maintaining the Penang Animal Sanctuary Society (PASS) has prompted them to organise a fundraising concert.

They house and feed some 300 dogs, 170 cats and even 30 tortoises.

With monthly upkeep reaching RM20,000 onwards for animal’s food and veterinary care, generous donors are much welcomed.

Leading the call for donations is State Exco for Tourism and Creative Economy YB Yeoh Soon Hin as the shelter is under his Paya Terubong constituency.

Accompanying Yeoh at a recent press conference was PASS president Stephen Chua held at Komtar.

“We want to raise awareness on adoption and as an animal lover myself, I also know the importance of caring for these living beings,” added Yeoh.

The concert will be staged by local artist Reno Tan composed by Clarence Liu and accompanied by an acoustic live performance.

The show is at PASS shelter in Relau on April 30th from 9.30am to 11.30am.

Those keen to support the good cause can call Stephen Chua at 012-472-2468.

They hope to raise RM20,000.
