The time has come for audio and visual enthusiasts to gather for the Northern International Audio and Visual Show (NIAVS) to be held here from  April 25 to  27, 2025.

A press conference was held to update media members on the event at the Setia SPICE Convention Centre.

On hand was State Exco for Tourism and Creative Economy YB Wong Hon Wai, Datin S. Bharathi, General Manager of Chief Minister Incorporated (CMI), Penang Convention & Exhibition Bureau Chief Executive Officer,  Ashwin Gunasekeran along with Wilson Teoh, director of Gryphon Production 

Also lending support was Ms Andrea Cheah, Director of Olive Tree Hotel, Oh Kin Tat, Head of Setia SPICE Convention Centre among others.

Some 50 exhibitors from all over the world will showcase more than 125 world-class brands for guests. They are from Singapore, China, Lithuania, Taiwan, Denmark, USA, Japan, UK, France, South Korea, Canada, Sweden, Italy and Switzerland.

“What makes NIAVS particularly significant for Penang is its impact beyond the exhibition halls. This event serves as a powerful platform for economic growth, industry collaboration and pub;ic engagement.

“The influx of exhibitors, professionals and visitors translates into business for hotels, restaurants, transportation and local retailers,” said Wong.

Meanwhile, Ashwin added that the homegrown gathering which started in 2022 has grown from strength to strength and now among the regional meets for enthusiasts. 

“We are certain that the showcase will go on to become bigger and bigger over the next five years and attract showrooms and also investors to Penang.

The event will also feature Japanese soul singer Nao Yoshioka and other local performers too. Mark your date to attend the gathering as entrance is free.
