The “Club Roots” extravaganza Penang edition saw an overwhelming response from the retro era lovers last night.
Leading the party was none other than LiteFM radio personality – Phat Fabes and his team of talented deejays.
The aim of the party was to revisit the iconic nightclubs of the 80’s and 90’s era and also shed light on the popular deejays from that era.
The gathering was held at the W Plus Club (formerly Carmen Club) @ the Bayview Hotel Georgetown.
For a moment it looked like the glory days of the club scene was back. .
Showcasing their talents were DJ Wú (LiteFM), DJ Vicky Vanoli (Cinta, Pg), DJ RF (Study Pg), DJ James Naras (Borsalino & The Study, Pg), DJ Johnny Kam (Hollywood East, Pg) and DJ Raj (Carmen’s, Pg) this time around.
Not to be outdone, there were also many members of the younger generation joining in the party scene joining the “mature” party-goers.
They were taken down memory lane with their music and also their dressing style too.
Despite his tight schedule, Phat Fabes took to the turntables to entertain the crowd with some dance and nostalgic hits.
Event organizer cum deejay, is DJ RF who also in his element to notch up the party atmosphere which got the guests to the dance floor.
The retro party was also a perfect opportunity for like-minded retro fans to gather and meet up and also those deejays who had performed during the bygone era.
