In a world where public figures often measure success by likes and followers, Chrystina Ng is doing something different — she’s cutting her hair, and giving it away, to give back.

And for a worthy cause too – as they are cancer victims.

For nearly a decade, Chrystina’s long hair has been part of her signature look — seen across TV screens, radio waves, live stages, and social media platforms. But this year, the multi-talented Malaysian media personality decided to turn that familiar image into something far more meaningful: a donation for individuals facing hair loss due to medical conditions.

“For almost 10 years, I’ve kept my hair long — partly out of habit, but mostly because it became a symbol of something bigger,” she shared. “Now, I know I’m ready to let it go — for a cause that truly matters.”

She shared her decision at the Prestige Hotel Penang’s “Paint the Town Pink 3” launch ceremony recently, where Chrystina revealed her personal mission to use her platform not just to entertain, but to inspire compassion and solidarity.

This is not a one-off gesture. It’s an extension of Chrystina’s ongoing commitment to charity through The Other Love Foundation, a humble initiative she founded to give back to communities in need. Whether it’s through volunteering, fundraising, or advocating for health and wellness, Chrystina continues to find ways to connect her personal life with a deeper sense of purpose.

Her hair donation marks a powerful moment of vulnerability and strength — and she’s hoping it sparks something bigger.

Known for her dynamic presence as a TV host, radio DJ, voice-over talent, actress, entrepreneur, and social media influencer, Chrystina is fluent in Mandarin, English, Malay, Cantonese, and Hokkien — connecting with fans across cultures and platforms. But behind the professional polish is someone driven by empathy, humility, and heart.

From managing her café, Otherwise Café, to sharing honest glimpses of life through social media, Chrystina stays grounded in the values that matter most: authenticity, community, and kindness.

By donating her hair, Chrystina Ng is showing that true beauty lies not just in how we present ourselves — but in how we give of ourselves.
