Educators and parents alike came together to applaud the exceptional achievements of Sunway International Schools’ (SIS) International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) graduating batch at the School’s High Achiever’s Award ceremony.

In addition to celebrating the graduates’ academic brilliance, the jubilant and meaningful occasion provided an opportunity to recognise their contributions towards the school community.

“Witnessing the remarkable dedication and talent demonstrated by our students serve as a beacon of hope and inspiration for us all. Today’s ceremony doubles as a reminder of the incredible potential and promise within each of our students,” remarked Dr Cheng Mien Wee, Executive Director of SIS.

The highlight of the ceremony was the presentation of the School Letter Award, one of the most prestigious awards recognising students who have greatly impacted the School and its community ranging from the pursuit of academic excellence, athletics prowess, leadership in co-curricular activities as well as artistic talents.

Among the recipients of the award for the first tier included Jonathan Lee Tian Hao, Quah Wayne Hann, Yeoh Jia Min, Kikuna Shimosato and Loh Zhi Lin; second tier were Myra Rosman Lai binti Mikail Lai, Youm Seojin (Lucy) and Alethea Gan Zhen-Cheng; and Dillon Choo, Kim Hyein (Henny) and Ding Zhao Yu for the third tier.

Along with these 10 students, Lim Rui Hao who emerged as the top scorer in the IBDP examination with the highest overall grade of 44 out of 45 was also awarded the Tan Sri Dato Sri Sir Jeffrey Cheah Scholastic Award.

Apart from moments of reflection on the journey of the graduating class, gratitude was also shown by graduates for the guidance and encouragement of their teachers, parents and mentors that have been instrumental in shaping the bright and optimistic futures of these exceptional students.

Serving as a testament to the collective effort and steadfast commitment to delivering the best, SIS continues to uphold the gold standard of excellence that defines the School and its community.
