Incumbent chairman Ms Carolyn Leong was re-elected as the Malaysian Association of Tour and Travel Agents (MATTA) Penang Chapter chairman for the term 2026-2029 at their Annual General Meeting held at the JEN Penang Georgetown By Shangri-La earlier today.
Supporting her leadership team will be Deputy Chairman Lau Kye Pinn, Treasurer S. Vidasagar, and committee members Yeap Li Boon, Hazlina Abdul Rashid, Teoh Li Fung, and Leong Mee Meng.
Also present at the AGM was Nigel Wong, President of Malaysian Association of Tour and Travel Agents.
Lending support at the buka puasa dinner following the AGM was Ayer Itam assemblyman YB Joseph Ng, H.E. Mr Shinya Machida, Consul General of Japan in Penang; H.E. Mr Psusist Wongsurawat, Consul General of Thailand in Penang; H.E. Madam Ding Qiao, Deputy Consul General of the People’s Republic of China in Penang; Dato Tony Goh MAH Penang Chapter chairman, Mary Ann Harris, Executive Director for Penang Centre of Medical Tourism) and tourism industry stakeholders.
This year, the MATTA Fair 2026 will be held next month from April 25-26 at the Penang Waterfront Convention Centre (PWCC).
