Bank Simpanan Nasional (BSN), through its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) brand, BSN Care, expressed its appreciation to the frontliners nationwide throughout the month of Ramadan by distributing 12,000 iftar packs at more than 50 locations, from March 24 to April 7, 2023
This CSR program is to appreciate and celebrate the frontliners who have sacrificed their time and energy carrying out their responsibilities, especially in this holy month of Ramadan.
The activities started in Sarawak, followed by Kelantan, Kedah, Perlis Perak, Johor, Terengganu, Sabah, Melaka, Pahang, Selangor, Kuala Lumpur and Negeri Sembilan as its final location.
This time, agencies and personnel involved are from the Malaysian Ministry of Health (KKM), Royal Malaysian Police (PDRM), Malaysian Armed Forces (ATM), National Security Council (MKN), Malaysian Civil Defense Force (APM), Local Authorities (PBT) and relevant local government agencies such as Jabatan Pendidikan Negeri (JPN), teachers and BSN customers.
Each recipient received various food items, including dates, bubur lambuk, bubur pulut hitam, puding raja, and other local desserts.
“We are aware that the responsibility carried by the frontline officers is essential and they have to be on duty regardless of the time. Therefore, through this program, we hope it will be easier for them to break their fast and at the same time bring joy in this Ramadan,” said Jay Khairil, Chief Executive of BSN.
Ramadan CSR activity is carried out under one of BSN Care’s pillars, ‘Community’, which emphasises providing opportunities to generate a sustainable life and social impact and providing assistance for basic needs.
Three other BSN Care pillars include Education, Sports and Health and Safety.
