A sea of people gathered at popular destinations in the island to usher in the New Year 2024.
The customary countdown was held in the numerous hotels in Georgetown, Bayan Lepas and Batu Ferringhi along with malls, pubs, bars, and private clubs.
Over at the Tree Bar at the G Hotel, guests gathered as early as 8pm to take up the best seats.
Guests were presented with plastic hard hats and party packs to get into the mood and party atmosphere.
Over the neighbouring Gurney Plaza, a huge outdoor stage was set up offering an array of live band performance by the Bunga Raya band, deejay performance and lucky draw.
Guests from all ages were also able to take part in party games and win prizes.
Meanwhile, the New Year party at the G Kelawai Hotel was on the 24th floor at the Gravity. A live band performance and fireworks display was among the highlights as patrons and staff members ushered in the New Year.
As the clock struck midnight, a huge roar was heard to welcome the New Year with guests greeting each other.
With drinks and food flowing guests and their family members and look forward to a better Year 2024.
