The roar of traditional Chinese drums echoed at the lobby of the Amari SPICE Penang when they held their lion dance performance in conjunction with Chinese New Year.
House guests and the hotel’s management team and staff gathered to witness the lively showcase.
Leading the way was their general manager Noorazzudin Omar and his HODs.
The lion dancers leapt from pole to pole to thrill the audience who were armed with their handphones to record the show. This was followed by a burst of firecrackers to ward away evil spirits.
Several guests also had a chance to pose with the God of Prosperity.
The highlight was the Yee Sang tossing ceremony joined by the hotel’s team and guests too.
Meanwhile, the lion dancers went from floor to floor to bless the various offices and departments at the hotel.
In all, the colourful ceremony brought much cheer, excitement and camaraderie at the gathering.
Guests and media members were also treated to a hearty lunch courtesy of the hotel.
