
Ushering in an auspicious and prosperous Year of the Horse, Amari SPICE Penang celebrated Chinese New Year with a vibrant Lion Dance performance and festive luncheon, welcoming esteemed guests and members of the media.
Adding prestige to the celebration was the Consul General of Thailand in Penang, Mr Psusist Wongsurawat, who attended with his delegation in a show of strong bilateral friendship and cultural harmony.
In keeping with cherished Chinese New Year traditions, the hotel’s leadership team came together for the auspicious Yee Sang tossing ceremony — a symbolic gesture to attract abundance, unity and good fortune for the year ahead.

Leading the celebrations were Ms Christine Rock, (Executive Assistant Manager), Ms Doris Hor, (Director of Commercial, Mr C.Ravindran (Director of Finance); Ms Janet Lam, Director of Marketing and Communications, among other heads of department.
The energetic Lion Dance troupe made its way through the hotel, blessing various departments to usher in prosperity, success and smooth operations for 2026.
The festivities culminated in a sumptuous Chinese New Year luncheon at Amaya Food Gallery, where guests indulged in an array of festive delicacies symbolising abundance, longevity, and happiness for the year ahead.
