As part of its corporate social responsibility (CSR), the Amari SPICE Penang carried out a bubur lambuk distribution for the Bayan Baru community recently.
Hotel staff and the management team gathered at the distribution center led by their general manager, Noorazzudin Omar.
Also present were other heads of departments for the project which has become a regular feature during the holy month of Ramadan every year.
The distribution was carried out at Masjid Umar Ibnu Al-Khattab’s Ramadan market area.
“The objective of this program is a time of sharing, and to spread the love and goodwill of Ramadan with the local community, thus strengthening their neighbourhood relationship”. said Noorazzudin/
In all, a total of 500 bowls of Bubur Lambuk were prepared by Executive Chef Azmi Affandi and his culinary team.
The Bubur Lambuk was a family recipe “passed down” from the great-grandmother of one of Amari SPICE Penang’s associates/staff who generously shared it as a gift of Ramadan.
The distribution was well received by passer-by and members of the public.
