Kids from the Salvation Army Penang Children’s Home had a whale of a time when they were showered with lots of Xmas gifts at the G Kelawai Hotel.
The programme was part of the hotel’s annual “A Time to Give” initiative which has been a tradition at the hotel.
On hand was general manager, Michael Hanratty and his team to welcome the kids.
“We have been seeing many of these children growing up as they have become part of our annual charity programmes.
“I hope you enjoy yourselves this evening and also the special menu we have put out for you,” added Michael.
Also present were other heads of departments who took time to mingle and mix with the children.
The kids numbering some 19 of them received not one, not two but four to five presents each. The smiles on their faces made it a worthwhile gathering.
Meanwhile, Becky Lurence, Home Manager of The Salvation Army Penang Children’s Home expressed thanks and shared that such events showed that the less fortunate children are still loved and cared for by the society.
The charity programme was initiated as part of the hotel’s corporate social responsibility (CSR) way back in 2008.
