The StarCity Hotel Alor Star hosted its inaugural Retro Memories Night, led by DJ James Naras, bringing together music lovers and friends for an evening of nostalgia and camaraderie.
Held in the hotel’s ballroom, the gathering attracted about 60 guests, reflecting strong support from the local community as well as visitors from Penang and Kuala Lumpur.
Guests were also treated to a spread of local favourites, including roast lamb, while enjoying classic hits from a bygone era.
Beyond the music and dining, the event provided an opportunity for attendees to connect, forge new friendships and bond over their shared appreciation for timeless tunes.
Adding to the lively atmosphere, several talented guests took to the microphone to perform karaoke numbers, entertaining fellow attendees throughout the evening. StarCity Hotel general manager Eugene Dass also joined in the fun, delighting guests with his own performances.
The successful turnout highlighted the community’s enthusiasm for social gatherings that celebrate friendship, music and togetherness, setting the stage for more Retro Memories nights in the future.
