The St Giles Wembley, Penang held its annual corporate social responsibility (CSR) event recently  (March 9) distributing bubur lambuk to motorists and passers-by in conjunction with the Ramadan season.

A total of 300 packs of the traditional bubur lambuk were prepared by the hotel’s Food and Beverage team for the occasion.

Magazine Road was abuzz with activity as hotel team members diligently handed out the warm porridge to eager motorists and motorcyclists.

Later, the hotel hosted children and caretakers from Rumah Bakti Kasih Ayahbonda for a buka puasa (breaking of fast) session at its new coffeehouse.

Leading the initiative was general manager Dato’ Tony Goh, who also presented hampers and duit raya to the children.

It was a joyous atmosphere as the youngsters enjoyed the food and the warm companionship shared during the evening.
