Some 2,015 runners participated in the 10th annual Rock to Rock Run 2025, raising RM50,000 in support of two meaningful causes.

Proceeds from the event will benefit Sekolah Kebangsaan Batu Ferringhi, a local government school, to help transform a classroom into a safe, inclusive space for students with disabilities. This marks the second collaboration between the school and Hard Rock Hotel Penang.

The second beneficiary, Caring Hearts Berhad, a non-profit organisation that provides education to refugee and underprivileged children in Penang, will use the funds to sustain and expand its educational programmes — reaching more children who lack access to formal schooling.

The event was officially launched by YB Daniel Gooi, State Exco for Youth, Sports and Health, alongside YB Syerleena Abdul Rashid, Member of Parliament for Bukit Bendera, Michael Smeeto, General Manager of Hard Rock Hotel Penang among others.

In his address, YB Gooi commended the organisers for their commitment to community impact.

“Events like Rock to Rock Run are more than just races — they are platforms for unity, giving, and building a healthier Penang,” he said.

Key sponsors and partners for the event included Decathlon Malaysia, Sanyu Sdn Bhd, Lee Sportswear International Sdn Bhd (Spin), Howei (M) Sdn Bhd, Eden Workforce Consulting, Pentech Solutions Sdn Bhd, Bold Excel Services Sdn Bhd, FCS Computer Systems Sdn Bhd, Butterfly House (PG) Sdn Bhd (Entopia), and Spectrum Music Sdn Bhd.

Runners were treated to a live performance by Manusia Band, a Rock Spa pop-up, and exciting lucky draw prizes as part of the post-run entertainment.
