
The Penang General Hospital will see the construction of three new buildings to better serve members of the public thanks to the funds from the federal government.
State Exco for Youth, Sports and Health YB Daniel Gooi made a site visit to follow up on the development.
Among the projects are the RM307 million women’s and children’s ward to be completed next year (2026), RM23 million Stem Cells block to be completed in 2027 and the RM428 million specialist clinics and wards to be completed in 2029.
Also present during the visit was Penang GH director Dr Goh Hin Kwang and his team members.
During his address, Gooi thanked the federal government for the allocation of the budget to better serve the people of Penang.
“We are committed to provide better medical facilities and services for the members of the public,” added Gooi.
