Incumbent chairman Eugene Dass was re-elected as the chairman of the Malaysian Association of Hotels Kedah/Perlis Chapter for the term 2025-2028 at the annual general meeting held at the PARKROYAL Langkawi Resort here earlier today.
Dass will serve his fourth term as the organisation’s chairman. He is the general manager of two hotels in Alor Star, namely the StarCity Hotel and the Fuller Hotel. He also manages the Fuller Hotel in Kulim, Kedah.
Some 40 members of MAH Kedah/Perlis representing the various hotels and resorts were present at the AGM.
He will be assisted by Hafiz Mohd Hashim from Tanjung Rhu Resort as the vice chairman.
Hafiz replaces Adrian Chua (former vice chairman) who did not contest in the elections as he is leaving Langkawi after being promoted for his new posting in Penang.
Other office bearers are Melvin Quah from Bella Vista Waterfront (Secretary) and Ms Koh Yen Huoy from The Bayou Hotel (Treasurer).
The committee members are Wong Ai Lin from Holiday Villa Beach Resort & Spa, Mazlan Ariffin from The Datai Langkawi, Abdul Malik Mohamad Hussain from Nadias Hotel, Ben Irwan Samuel from Dash Resort Langkawi, Anthony Dave from Royal Agate Beach Resort and Adj Prof Anthony Wong from Cottage by the Sea Langkawi.
The internal auditor is Ahmad Fauzi Romli, Casa Del Mar.
Also present was Isaac Raj CEO MAH Kuala Lumpur and Dato Megat Shahrul Azman Abas (Hon Secretary), Pn Fadhillah Arifin (MAH general manager) from Kuala Lumpur.
