In quick response to help the on-going flood victims in several states in the country, the Malaysian Association of Hotels (MAH Penang Chapter) mobilised its members to contribute for the worthy cause.
The project was initiated by the State DAP Committee to assist victims in Kedah, Kelantan and Terengganu.
Among the hotels which had contributed contributed for the good cause were the Cititel Penang, St Giles Wembley, Angsana Teluk Bahang, Hompton by the Beach Penang, Hotel Sentral Georgetown, Qanova Group, Citadines Prai, Citadines Georgetown , M Summit Hotel, Lexis Suites Penang, Eastin Hotel Penang, Bayview Georgetown, Hotel NEO+ Penang, G Hotel, Amari SPICE Penang , Ascott Gurney Penang, Mei Hotel Penang, Berjaya Hotel Penang and MAH Penang too.
They donated items such as linens, drinking water, cup noodles, toilet rolls, bath soap, biscuits, tooth brush, diapers among others.
Present was MAH Penang chairman Dato Tony Goh and several of the general managers and hotels manager from the various hotels in the city.
Also present was Dato Khoo Boo Lim , MAH Vice President.
The initiative is by the Penang DAP committee via their “Misi Bantuan Banjir”. They also encourage members of the public to contribute for the worthy cause.
They also welcome items like hand towels, first aid kits too.
