The Shangri-La Group is pleased to announce the appointment of Markus Christ as the General Manager of Shangri-La Rasa Sentosa, Singapore and The Palawan @ Sentosa, effective 1 October 2024.
In this significant role, Markus will relocate to Singapore while continuing his oversight of the Group’s Penang properties, including Shangri-La Rasa Sayang, Shangri-La Golden Sands, and JEN Penang Georgetown.
We thank Marcus for his contributions to the Penang properties over the past two years.
Simultaneously, we are excited to announce that Jegan Selvarajan will assume the role of General Manager of Shangri-La Rasa Sayang and Shangri-La Golden Sands Resort, Penang, also effective 1 October 2024.
Jegan, who joined the Group in October 1999, has a rich history of various roles within the organization, including his recent position as the Resident Manager of the same cluster of resorts. In this new position, Jegan will report directly to Markus Christ, ensuring continued collaboration and excellence in service.
Markus has been with the Shangri-La Group since October 2004 and has served as the Area General Manager for the Penang properties since March 2023. His extensive experience and dedication to the Shangri-La brand will greatly benefit the Rasa Sentosa and Palawan properties as well as the ongoing success of our Penang resorts.
