Art enthusiasts who have not checked out local artist Onna Ariya’s works which are currently on display at the G Hotel Gurney can still do so till Jan 31, 2020.
The self taught artist specializes in floral, animals especially birds, koi fish and natural scenery among others.
Her art showcase entitled “Breath” is a representation of the first breath all living organisms take when brought into this world.
The 31-year-old has a designer background from University Sains Malaysia.
Most of her works are in watercolour as she explains that it is easy to pick up, hence allowing her to feel the flow of colours through water.
She draws inspiration from everything she sees and never misses to sketch it in the sketch book she carries around.
She began her journey with sketching and fully dived into painting two years ago.
She also loves experimenting with colours and expresses her thoughts through themes surrounding nature.
Furthermore, her passion for art has brought her to have coaching workshops, acquiring a lot of students under her wings locally and internationally.
She has also participated in several art exhibitions in Kuala Lumpur and Penang showcasing her surreal paintings.
Those keen can visit the art exhibition at the G Art Gallery, Link Bridge at Level 1 G Hotel. Call 04-238-0000 for details.
