The upcoming Langkawi International Maritime & Aerospace Exhibition 2023 (LIMA) will showcase aerobatic teams from Indonesia, South Korea, China and Russia.
As a run-up to the LIMA 2023, Penang Hyperlocal will feature information on specific fighter jets till the end of the international meet.
Among them are the Jupiter team from the Indonesian Air Force, August 1st (Air Force of the People’s Republic of China), Russian Knights (Russian Air Force) and the Black Eagles (Republic of South Korea Air Force).
The Russian aerobatic team will be flying its Sukhoi SU-35S and Su-30SM fighter aircrafts.
The jets are known for their maneuverability and speed in the air. The SU-35S is also known as the “Flanker-E” and is a single seater jet.
They have twin engines and are known for their supermaneuverability in the air. The jets were designed by Sukhoi Design Bureau and built by Sukhoi.
Being introduced in 2014, the fighter jets are known to-date to be in service in China, Turkey, Egypt and Indonesia.
Fighter jet enthusiasts are also keen to see up close and personal the South Korean FA-50 light combat jets which has been procured by the Royal Malaysian Airforce to beef up its defenses.
Meanwhile, the executive director of Alpine Integrated Solution Sdn Bhd which was appointed as co-organiser of LIMA 2023 , Muhammad Aqlan Pacleb, said that they have achieved their target of 600 exhibiting companies.
