Penang Port Sdn Bhd hosted a media night for some 100 media practitioners on the island at Tamarra by Irama Dining here.
Lending presence was Dato Sasedharan Vasudevan, Chief Executive Officer of Penang Port Sdn Bhd and their chairman Dato Syed Mohammad Syed Murtaza and their team.
Guests were entertained to a live band performance, lucky draw and a great buffet line.
In his address Sase said that in a world where information travels at the speed of light, media has become an indispensable part of our daily routine, providing us with news, entertainment, and education.
“Tonight, we take a moment to appreciate the hard work and dedication of all those who work in the media industry. From journalists and reporters to producers and camera operators, each one of them plays a crucial role in delivering information to us in a timely and accurate manner,” he said.
Meanwhile Syed Mohammad added that they acknowledge the challenges and dangers that media professionals face in their line of work.
“So let us take a moment to applaud the hard work, dedication, and bravery of all those who work in the media industry. Let us also pledge to support and protect them, so that they can continue to play their vital role in our society.
“The media also acts as a bridge between businesses and their stakeholders, including the public, government and investors.
At Penang Port, we have been fortunate to have a dedicated and committed media team that has helped to raise awareness about our port and its operations,” he concluded.
