Jagdeep at Wadda Gurduwara Sahib

Penang State Exco for Housing, Local Government, Town and Country Planning YB Jagdeep Singh Deo reiterated the state government’s plan to continue to ensure preservation of our heritage in Penang. 

“This includes buildings such as our 122 years old Wadda Gurdwara Sahib which is currently being restored. 

“I am here to monitor the status, which will begin in June this year and is expected to be completed within 18 months. 

“I am also glad to to note also our application for the Gurdwara to be given National Heritage status has completed and we are waiting for a positive official response from the Federal Government. 

“This is part of our work to ensure that all places of worship including Islam and other than Islam are given attention where their maintenance work and new buildings are concerned.

He also added that in Penang some 209 projects have been approved at a cost of RM8.79 million.
