Old school dishes from the “kampung” are among those on the buffet counter at the Hompton By The Beach, Penang from April 16 to May 9, 2021 for Ramadan.

Aptly named “Kampung Ku” buffet 2021, the spread starts with local salads like ulam raja, daun selom, peria, kacang bendi, daun ulam pegaga, petai and many more.

To go with your salads, there are a variety of sambal tempoyak, sambal belacan, budu, sambal kicap chili padi, sambal nenas, and the likes.

As for the mains, savour the likes of  Ayam Masak Gajus, Daging Rendang Maharani, ikan patin masak tempoyak, udang kasturi, tauhu goreng sos lada hitam, siput lala masak tau chu, mee goreng ambeng and nasi putih aidilfitri.
Meanwhile, the action stalls offer the ever popular laksa Penang, ais kacang, ice cream, roast beef and of course roast lamb.

The hotel’s Spice Garden outlet located on the 11th floor promises the mesmerising view of the Andaman Sea while you dine.

Dessert lovers can indulge in tau foo fa, agar-agar buah kiwi, agar-agar pandan bersantan, puding jagung, dadih strawberry, rays biscuits and various pastry cakes.

Prices are at RM110 nett (adult), RM68 nett (senior citizen above 5 years) and RM68 nett (children from seven to 12 years-old).
