The Jazz Hotel in Tanjung Tokong, Penang is reopening by the end of Q1 this year.

Preparations are underway towards the re-opening. The hotel had closed at the height of the Covid-19 pandemic.

With the hospitality industry and tourism in full swing, it is a perfect time for the boutique hotel to reopen.

The move is in line as hotels in Penang have been experiencing 80 to 100 percent occupancy rates after the reopening of domestic and international travel.

The 30-storey hotel offers some 255-rooms and suites themed in a jazzy setting.

Among their facilities include a restaurant, lounge, swimming pool, gym, seminar and meeting rooms.

“Having the Jazz hotel to reopen will also offer travellers more options for accommodation for travellers and holiday makers. It is a much welcomed move for the hospitality industry.

“Many of the hotels in Penang have had good occupancy during the recent school holidays. We now look forward for the up-coming Chinese New Year holidays,” said Tony Goh, the chairman of the Malaysian Association of Hotel (MAH Penang Chapter) when contacted by Penang Hyperlocal.

Penang Hyperlocal wishes to congratulate Jazz Hotel on their re-opening and surely they will play their role in promoting tourism in the state.
