IT was a proud moment for the management and staff of the Tanjung Rhu Resort Langkawi when they were recognised by three international industry organisations over the past three months for their service quality.
They were awarded by HOTELS.Com with the “LOVED BY GUESTS” Award with a score of 8.8 out of 10. This is the third year in a row that Tanjung Rhu Resort has received the award.
Second was the Reviews from Millions of Tripadvisor travellers placed the Resort in the top 10% worldwide of the Tripadvisor Travellers Choice 2020.
Tanjung Rhu Resort also received an award from the Luxury Lifestyle Awards 2020 under The Best Luxury Wellness Retreats in Malaysia category.
Located in the most scenic part of the Island, commanding magnificent views of the Andaman Sea and the ancient limestone hills, the charm and appeal of Tanjung Rhu Resort lies beyond its bricks and mortar and extends far beyond the physical confines of the resort.
Enveloped by the cool shade of rustling Casuarinas, by looking out to the aquamarine Andaman Sea, flanked by a landscape of centuries old limestone caves and uninhabited islands.
The resort has been managed by Aariana Hospitality International since September 2018.
Its president and chief executive officer, Reginald T Pereira was all smiles as the resort received its third award in as many months.
He attributed the recognition to everyone at Tanjung Rhu who have gone that extra mile to ensure that standards were maintained.
“Despite the challenging times that everyone has faced in view of Covid19, all employees continued to perform their duties to the highest of standards and the new norm of multiskilling has been well received.
“Once interstate travel was allowed, the resort has been having very high occupancies especially on weekends and holidays. Except for one restaurant, all other facilities and food and beverage outlets are in operation.
“New menus have been introduced and hawker fare specials have been introduced where guests can enjoy some mouth-watering specials like Koay Teow Bujang, Mee Mamak, Burger Bakar and Nasi Lemak Kukus among others at prices starting from RM12 only,” said Pereira.
He added that in view of more locals staying at the resort, there was a need to have something that was affordable which is value for money and thus we introduced the Rhu Deck Hawker fare and one can enjoy a stunning sunset while savouring some of the culinary delights that Tanjung Rhu is known for and its tagline- THERE IS NO PLACE LIKE IT.
“We have also designed special room deals to cater for the domestic market and the response has been overwhelming.
“For as low as RM280 per night guests can experience 5-star luxury at an affordable rate complete with buffet breakfast for two in our Damai Suite.
“These promotions are on offer until 19 December 2020,” added Pereira.
