The Sunway Carnival Mall in Seberang Jaya has set up a food bank for those who are in need of food rations.

Among the provisions put out are dried food and canned food items such as rice, sugar, bee hoon, biscuits, instant noodles, sardine, baked beans and many more.

Despite the mall having to close many of it’s outlets except which provide takeaway due to the lockdown, they are mindful of the underprivileged.

“During these trying times, we know many families are struggling to put food on the table and some have little choice but to skip meals or share whatever they could scrape together for a meal.

“And we are here to help by setting up a food bank near our main entrance. Don’t be shy, just take what you need and don’t let yourself go to bed hungry. It’s not the end, we’ll get through this together,” read their FB posting.

The food bank counter will be available from 11am to 8pm till July 31, 2021 for the benefit of the surrounding community.

Penanghyperlocal wishes syabas to Sunway Carnival Mall for this timely and highly commendable corporate social responsibility (CSR) project.
