Some 200 odd staff at the Bertam Souk & Water Park, Penang were treated to a lavish break of fast session at the resort.

While the buffet dinner was decked with local favourites, there were also action stalls offering laksa, ice kacang, pisang ubi/ goreng, roti canai, murtabak and lots more.

Even the dessert corner was filled to the brim with traditional Malay kueh, cakes, cookies, rojak, colourful biscuits and an assortment of fruits.

Leisurely gathering

Set at the poolside area, the staff members had a leisurely dinner while taking in the cozy setting.

The newly opened Moroccan-themed water park and hotel offers 300 rooms with ample car park for guests.

Joining the dinner were various heads of departments and the management team.

Not to be missed, their managing director himself, Datuk Mohamed Iqbal S. Habeeb Noohu and his wife Datin Noorzaina Mat Zain were also present.

The park sprawls over 20 acres and is a 20 kilometres drive from Penang International Airport, four hours’ drive from Kuala Lumpur and an easy pleasurable drive from Singapore.

They also offer pool villas and spa villas on the property. The resort’s ballroom is able to cater up to 2,000 sit down dinners with chandeliers and state-of-the-art LED facilities.
