Meanwhile, Soroptimist International is a global movement of women, with members belonging to more than 3,000 clubs in 126 countries/territories, spread over five federations.

They serve as a Global Voice for Women working through “Awareness, Advocacy, and Action to Educate , Enable and Empower” women to promote human rights for all, equality, development and peace.

Their vision is to create a world where women and girls achieve their individual and collective potential, realize aspirations and have an equal voice in creating strong, peaceful communities worldwide.

Soroptimist International Club of Penang has over the years raised funds for various charities and service projects through our fundraising events.

They have helped orphanages, schools, welfare and old folks’ homes, during the pandemic we provided food for front liners at Penang General Hospital, 600 care packs for the homeless, given laptops to students who need financial aid and helped single mothers and children from less fortunate families.

They are expecting a large crowd as the pandemic has restricted us from all public fundraising events for the past two and a half years. Come support the project for a great cause.
