Paya Terubong assemblyman and state exco for Tourism and Creative Economy Yeoh Soon Hin

Due to the drastic increase of Covid-19 cases at Sri Ivory Apartments, the residents are urged to come forward for the mass Covid-19 swab test to avoid community infection.

“Paya Terubong falls within the vicinity of Mukim 13, which is one of the hotspots of the virus outbreak in the island. They recorded a total of 361 positive cases from July 16 to 29.

“A number of residents from the Sri Ivory Apartment have been tested positive for Covid-19.

“As such, in compliance with the health protocol, immediate action has been taken by arranging for a mass swab test on Aug 2 from 2pm to 6pm, at the fourth-floor auditorium in Block 3,” said the state assemblymen for Paya Terubong, Yeoh Soon Hin who is also the state exco for Tourism and Creative Economy in a press statement.

Yeoh encouraged residents of the apartment to come forward for this complimentary swab test, whilst reminding them to bring along their National Registration Identity Card (NRIC) for registration purposes.

“Even fully vaccinated individuals can still get infected by Covid-19. Hence, it is important for communities to get tested from time to time,” he added.
