With the reopening of international borders from yesterday, April1, 2022, Penang recorded 1,056 passengers arriving via the Penang International Airport (PIA) on the first day.
Penang State Exco for Tourism and Creative Economy YB Yeoh Soon Hin said in a press statement that the arrivals were from Singapore and Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam.
“There were a total of nine (9) international flights that departed and landed in Penang International Airport (PIA) on 1 April.
“The airlines involved in these 9 international flights were Singapore Airlines, Malaysia Airlines, Air Asia, Jetstar Airways and Scoot Tiger,” he added.
In the meantime, some 513 passengers left via PIA yesterday.
