Malaysian Association of Hotels (Penang Chapter) chairman and the general manager of the Light Hotel, Raj Kumar was conferred the Darjah Johan Negeri or DJN in conjunction with the birthday celebrations of the Governor of Penang recently.
Being a seasoned hotelier, Raj has risen to the echelons of the hospitality industry.
“I am blessed and very pleased to receive this award. It will be among the highlights of my career.
“I would also like to thank the state government and MAH committee members for their continuous support.
“This award will surely spur me on to do my best towards MAH and its members. Let us hope for a better future,” said Raj.
He also conveyed his heartfelt gratitude and thanks to all those who had taken the trouble to congratulate him on the recognition.
