Penang Chief Minister YAB Chow Kon Yeow honoured three of the six students who were selected to pursue their education at the famed Harvard University and Princeton University.
Hailing from Penang, the students were Ishant Shah Atul Kumar,19, Herman Leong Xin Yang and Teoh Liyen in Komtar.
They received a cash award of RM3,000 and an appreciation certificate.
Chow added that the three students from Penang were recognised for making Penang and Malaysia proud.
Present was state Youth and Sports Committee chairman Soon Lip Chee and state Social Development and Non-Muslims Affairs Committee chairman Chong Eng.
Herman Leong Xin Yang, 20, was represented by his mother Chun Siew @ Tang Siew Li.
Lending support were the parents of the students.
