Northern AV Show a runaway success

Due to the overwhelming response to the inaugural Northern AV Show 2022 has the organisers have decided to make it an annual affair.

The niche event is brought to Penang by the Penang Convention & Exhibitions Bureau (PCEB) in collaboration with the organisers, Gryphon Productions Sdn Bhd.

The show is currently on-going at the Ascott Gurney Penang till 8pm today.

Present at the launch of the event was State Exco for Tourism and Creative Economy, YB Yeoh Soon Hin, PCEB chief executive officer ,Ashwin Gunasekeran and Wilson Teoh, director of Gryphon Productions.

“We hope to bring in more international brands with high impact exhibitions. This niche market conference can bring high value to the state and its economy.

“There can also be high-end music products being manufactured in Penang as a spinoff of this event in the future,” added Ashwin.

New range speakers on show

Meanwhile, Yeoh added that the currently the hifi industry is concentrated in Kuala Lumpur but Penang has the potential to develop this industry with the vision of building a hub in this region.

Teoh expressed his surprise at the overwhelming response from members of  the public and described it as “beyond expectation”.

He also added that the show has an inventory of more than RM10 million worth of equipment to showcase.

Guests can also experience the RM1 million worth sound system from the United States for their listening pleasure.

There are some 22 local manufacturers exhibitors while representatives from Singapore and Australia are also making their presence.  Among the products include music servers, amplifiers, headphones and other gadgets.
