Penang Chief Minister Chow Kon Yeow was on hand to officially launch the NI Malaysia Sdn Bhd’s (formerly National Instruments) new supply chain distribution hub in Bayan Lepas plant recently.

On hand to welcome him was NI’s managing director Selvam Chinappan and his team.

“I am glad to be here again to be part of the future step in making the expansion a reality. This project serves as NI’s new supply chain distribution hub for products that cater for Industry 4.0, 5G and the autonomous vehicle markets,” said Chow.

Selvam added that with the new building, they will further strengthen their  global manufacturing footprint as we will be distributing our products to our global customers.

“One key factor for our investment in Malaysia is the ease of doing business,” said Selvam.

NI Malaysia also donated RM830,000 towards Penang Science Cluster for the next four years to fund the GET Programmes.
