The Hard Rock Cafe Penang and Rock Shop are the first two outlets to have just resumed business from Feb 23rd, 2021, onwards.
Both outlets are now open and practicing the Safe+Sound safety regulations and the SOPs set by the Malaysian Government.
Meanwhile, the Hard Rock Hotel Penang has recently introduced Ms Ivy Thomas as the resort’s new Spa Manager, acquiring the responsibility of overseeing and leading the continued development of its Rock Spa®.
Hailing from Sabah, Thomas’ extensive background in the industry began in Mandara Spa, where she gained experience that allowed her to climb the ranks in various 5-star hotel spa locations in Malaysia.
Her extensive spa experience expanded deeper into the hospitality industry when she took on the challenging role as a Cluster Spa Manager in Lilly Beach Resort and Spa at Huvahendhoo, Atmosphere Kanifushi Maldives and Amaya Resort Kuda Rah & Spa – Maldives.
Further enhancing her impressive array of spa and wellness offerings in the hospitality sphere, her most recent managerial positions were at Shangri-La Rasa Ria Pantai Dalit Tuaran Sabah and Le Meridien Maldives Resort & Spa.
As a successful industry professional with more than ten years of experience operating luxury hotel spas, Thomas is set to bring a diverse mix of wellness influences to the team.
She is currently focused on building a sense of exclusivity and creating highly profitable sales strategies for the hotel by revitalizing spa offerings and ensuring the highest level of service are delivered to spa clientele.
