The Minister of Local Government Development, YB Nga Kor Ming made an official visit to Penang recently.
On hand to welcome him was Penang Chief Minister YAB Chow Kon Yeow and his delegation.
Among them was State Exco for Housing, Local Government, Town and Country Planning YB Jagdeep Singh Deo along with state housing board officials.
“Despite his hectic schedule, the minister has made time to visit us.
“We look forward to having a closer relationship with the federal government. We hope that we will have sympathetic ears in the ministry and cabinet for Penang issues to be recognised and suitable action to be taken, as well as allocations for projects to be considered.
“There are a few issues. And I believe Penang will always work hard to develop affordable housing for the people of Penang,” said Chow in a press statement.
