Backed with 26-years experience in the hospitality industry, Navin Nishaal likes to “take the bull by its horns” in anything he ventures.
Navin is now the general manager of the Mercure Penang Beach in Tanjong Bungah.
Over the years, he had served in numerous departments in the industry. Among them are the front office, learning and development, marketing, corporate planning etc.
“Although with the current pandemic situation hotels are facing tough challenges for getting business, I am confident that with the new team members and determination, we can make some positive changes at Mercure Penang Beach,” said Navin.
Some on the activities they have embarked on are the weekend craft and culture market which brings vendors selling various trinkets, crafts, clothes, food/drinks and a place to meet up.
Another new feature is the beach bar which is open every Saturdays for those who want to enjoy happy hours while watching the sun go down over the Andaman Sea.
When not at work, Navin likes to indulge in activities like photography, videography, reading and being active on the social media.
