The Malaysian Association of Hotels (MAH Penang chapter) is holding an inter-hotel football tournament on Sunday, June 25, 2023.
Seventeen teams from the various hotels in Penang have registered for the highly anticipated tournament.
Matches will be played at the University Sains Malaysia (USM) Kopa Arena pitch from 8am to 6pm.
The winner will walk away with the championship trophy and bragging rights.
MAH Penang Chapter chairman Tony Goh said that the tournament is being organised to foster friendship and camaraderie among hotel staff.
“After going through the tough pandemic lockdown and layoffs, it is time to rejoice and get our minds off work for a change.
“The various teams are already training hard to prepare for the up-coming tournament,” said Goh.

Group A consists of the Lexis Suites, The Blanket Hotel, Rasa Sayang Resort & Spa and the Amari SPICE Penang. Group B consists of the DoubleTree by Hilton Penang, Ixora Hotel, the Light Hotel Penang and Ascott Hotel Gurney.
Group C is made up of Golden Sands Resort, Angsana Teluk Bahang, Eastin Hotel Penang and a team from Combined Hotels.
The last group (Group D) is made up of Hard Rock Hotel Penang, Cititel Penang, G Hotel, Bayview Georgetown and Rainbow Paradise.
Supporters are encouraged to turn up and cheer for their favourite teams.
