The 140-room inventory LOOP On Leith boutique hotel opened its doors recently in the heart of George Town at the corner of Leith and Muntri streets.

Penang Chief Minister Chow Kon Yeow was on hand to officiate the hotel along with property owner Yeoh Tze Shyun.

They offer five category of rooms suitable for individual, leisure, business and family travelers with latest facilities and the all important wifi connectivity.

“The beautiful colonial streets, mushrooming cafes, historical musuems and art galleries make this property a natural when it comes to the beautiful Penang inner neighborhood experiences, ” said Yeoh.

Chow in congratulating the management of the hotel also highlighted the city’s melting port of cultures and home to authentic local delicacies.

He also called on tourism players to take the opportunity to bring outstanding experience to visitors.

Come 2020, several more new hotels are opening in Penang, namely the 5-star Angsana Resort in Teluk Bahang, Marriott Courtyard along Macalister Road, Ozo at Argyl Road and the Amari Hotel in Bayan Lepas.

Meanwhile, The RM250 million Iconic Hotel Gelugor is expected to be completed in 2024.

The opening of of the new hotels is expected to auger well for travelers and great bargain deals for locals too.
