New dining outlets at Komtar Walk

By V. Sivaji

The Komtar Walk is a hive of activity these days.

The once dark and dingy venue is now all bright and shiny now, thanks to the efforts of the Komtar management team.

More so, when Komtar is the centre of administration for the state.

Diners and holiday makers are making their presence either to enjoy the new food & beverage outlets located there or to visit the tourism attraction, The TOP.

Among the new outlets are the Siam Mookata, Saigon Sisters, Roti Bakar Hutton Lane, Donna Bistro, Kekartel among others.

The Roti Bakar Hutton Lane is a popular place for having breakfast and sometimes, guests have to wait a while to be seated.

Other outlets there cater for the lunch and dinner clients.

Meanwhile with the tourism industry in full swing in Penang, stakeholders are reaping the spinoff from the industry.

Surely, the state’s tourism office and its related subsidiaries like the Penang Global Tourism  (PGT) and Penang Exhibition & Convention Bureau (PCEB) team are in for due mention and credit.

The success and in-roads made in the state for the tourism sector are already the envy of neighbouring states.

The Komtar Walk was launched by Penang Chief Minister, YAB Chow Kon Yeow along with Komtar assemblyman YB Teh Lai Heng last year.
