In line with Penang’s Vision 2030, two more affordable housing projects are currently underway.
State Exco for Housing Local Government, Town and Country Planning, Jagdeep Singh Deo said that the projects are underway to reach the target of 220,00 affordable homes for Penangites.
“We will continue with our housing agenda to deliver Affordable Housing in Penang. To-date, in terms of our target of 220,000 units as per our Vision Penang 2030, we have now reached 130,087 units.
“We also will ensure all projects are carried out in time. I am here to conduct a spot check at another affordable housing project by Penang at Pintasan Cecil, which is a fully subsidised Affordable Type B housing priced at RM72,500 with 348 units for Penangites.
“It is hoped the Federal Government will proceed with their commitment made last September, to provide at least two more Peoples Housing Projects here,” added Jagdeep.
