Already known as the “Silicon Valley Of the East”, Penang is attracting related international bodies in the likes of the International Semiconductor Executive Summits (I.S.E.S) who plan to establish a chapter here.

In a recent networking session with industry leaders, I.S.E.S held a cocktail session at the G Kelawai Hotel’s Gravity rooftop bar.

Some 70 representatives from the local semiconductor industry were present to support the gathering.

Participants at the I.S.E.S session

Leading the briefing session was Salah Nasri, president of I.S.E.S Global who shared further insights with guests present.

“We are bringing I.S.E.S to Penang and Malaysia and our mission is to gather leaders in the semiconductor industry to share the system management facility (SMF) network. You will also enjoy access to presentations shared across the world

“We will also bring international executives to Penang to share insights,” added Nasri.

Nasri shared that I.S.E.S. is where decision makers in Semiconductor Manufacturing connect to inspire, collaborate and share ideas in a trusted network. A leading industry associated that consists of members from the entire Semiconductor ecosystem responsible for the innovations in Equipment & Materials Manufacturers, OSATs, Foundries, IDMs, IC Design Houses, Software and Services to the actual end user such as High Performance Computing, AI, Automotive Electronics, 5G/6G and etc.

“I.S.E.S. hosts its Summits annually in the following regions: United States of America, Germany, Italy, Taiwan, China, and Singapore. The microelectromechanical systems or MEMS World Summit EU, China and SouthEast Asia are I.S.E.S. Strategic Communities. § I.S.E.S. provides a unique industry platform dedicated for collaboration, where global leaders connect and innovate with peers, partners and customers to accelerate the semiconductor industry.

“We attract senior government officials, research institutes, investors and their industry counterparts from around the world,” added Nasri.

Among their major partners are Intel, ADVANTEST,  AIRSPACE, LAM Research, Applied Materials, ASNA, Comet, Cyber Optics, DAS, EVG, Edwards, JSR Corporation, Galaxy and many more.

Last year, they held seven global events in countries like Germany (Munich), USA and China,

To this regard, they will hold an international conference in Penang from November 14-15, 2023 where international professionals in the field will gather.
