As the sense of deja vu prevails in the hospitality industry due to the enforcement of the Movement Control Order (MCO) for six states namely Penang, Selangor, Federal Territories, Malacca, Johor and Sabah.

While some hotels have decided to keep open till the end of the MCO this time around, many have decided to close temporarily.

Almost one year ahead (since March 18, 2020), the hospitality industry has also learned to be innovative. From it’s previous experience but at a cost, to keep their staff costs low and their overheads low.
