After undergoing a complete renovation and makeover, the Hard Rock Cafe Penang will feature a new deejay and showband for its opening from June 1, 2019 onwards.

DJ Black Ice will take over at the deejay console for the entertainment pleasure of regulars and guests with his brand of music.

Hailing from Taiping, Perak he started spinning from a young age of 18 performing pubs and clubs in his neighbourhood.

He then started to experiment with new sounds and genre and worked his way to bigger entertainment scene for private events, beach parties and annual dinner gatherings.

Among his exploits were at Pulau Perhentian, Bukit Merah Laketown Resort, Putrajaya Marriott Hotel, Zeta Bar KL and several stints in Bangkok, Thailand.

Meanwhile, the Splitfire band is well versed in rock, top of the pops, R&B, alternative and funk numbers.

The seven-piece band is led by lead guitarist, Husen Hambali while the lead singers are female vocalist, Sofie Wulandari along with two male vocalist, namely Handy Prakosa and Susana Ariyanto

Among their stints include major nightspots in South East Asia and also at the Hard Rock Café Jakarta, Hard Rock Cafe Bali, Hard Rock Café Kuala Lumpur, Hard Rock Cafe Melaka, Hard Rock Cafe Pattaya, Hard Rock Cafe Phuket and Hard Rock Cafe Koh Samui.
