Ten years service awards recipients

There was a double celebration at the G Hotel as members of the staff were hosted at the “Associate Appreciation Gathering” recently.

The event was to show appreciation for long serving employees and also celebrate their birthdays.

An extravagant day of events with birthday celebrations, lucky draws, and staff performances. In addition, the hotel also collaborated with INTI College Penang to make the event more happening.

The students were invited as part of their college assignment to assist in taking photos and videos throughout the event.

The town hall had an overwhelming turnout of staff including directors and the  management’s team.

The event started off with the general manager of G Hotel, Michael Hanratty who addressed his employees with a speech highlighting how much pride he feels to be part of the hotel and sharing an insight of the upcoming G Hotel Gurney.

Meanwhile, the “5,10 and 15 Years’ Service Recognition Awards” were held for the pioneer employees during the Associate Appreciation Gathering.

Some 80 pioneer employees were given a formal acknowledgement recently for work performance, contribution and for serving G Hotel’s business success, goals and values since its opening in 2007.

G Hotel aims that the recognition awards may motivate and encourage other employees to dedicate further in order to earn the same recognition.

The pioneer group who has served for 5 years with G Hotel received a G Memento, certificate, dine-in voucher and RM150 cash. Those who served for 10 years received a certificate, gold locket, room voucher and RM250 cash.

Finally, the pioneer groups who served 15 years with G Hotel received a certificate, room stay voucher, gold locket and RM350 cash. The 80 staff were from the various departments, namely, Director Office, Security & Safety, Front Office, Sales & Marketing, Finance, Culinary, Housekeeping, Engineering, Public Relations, Guest Service Centre and F&B.

These recognitions were presented by the Director of Human Resources, Raymond Seow and Michael Hanratty, General Manager of G Hotel.

Other highlights included Top 20 lucky draw prizes which includes a Samsung Microwave, Morgan Stand Mixer, Faber Hair Dryers, Rice cooker, dance performances and many more.
