For the first time ever, the Malaysian Association of Hotels (MAH Perak Chapter) Malaysian Association of Tour and Travel Agents,(MATTA), Malaysian Budget Hotels Association (MyBHA Perak) and Persatuan Pengusaha Pelancongan Bumiputera Perak organised a Hari Raya joint celebration.

The gathering was held at the Travelodge Hotel in Ipoh.

Lending support was State Exco for Housing, Local Government and Tourism Datuk Nolee Ashilin Mohammad Radzi along with Tourism Malaysia Northern Region director Shahrul Aman.

Also present was MAH Perak chairman Vincent Ee, MATTA Perak chairman Chong Yu Ken and Zamari Muhyi representing Perak MyBHA and Persatuan Pengusaha Pelancongan Bumiputera.

Good turnout

A good turn out of member hotels tour agents and well-wishers made the occasion a merry gathering.

Nolee congratulated the various associations for working together to make the celebration possible.

“After not being able to celebrate Hari Raya for the past two years, I have been attending Raya gatherings every day.

“We want to see more cooperation between all parties to ensure tourism industry comes back to previous levels. We need the participation and support from stakeholders to ensure success of the overall tourism industry.

Meanwhile, children from several orphanages were also presented with “duit raya”. Guests were also treated to soothing numbers from solo singer Bob and also a lucky draw session.
