Successful mangrove tree planting in Balik Pulau

In keeping with the “Green Agenda” for Penang, State Exco for Housing , Local Government, Town and Country Planning, Jagdeep Singh Deo made a trip to Malindo Beach in Balik Pulau.

The state has a target of 500,000 trees to be planted. 

“Since 2008  we have planted some 320,000 trees throughout the State.

“At this location on Malindo Beach, we will plant another 2,000 mangrove trees. Our Green Agenda will continue to be prioritised during this global climate crisis,” said Jagdeep who was accompanied by Penang Island ity Council Mayor Dato Yew Tung Seang among others.
