Eng has no plans to stop expanding his hotel chain as he is targetting more unique and boutique style accommodation based on market trends in the near future. His objective is to target all ranges of customers from budget to luxury group.

“Presently, our group has about 500 rooms in total and we are experiencing an average occupancy of 85 per cent. Our unique design with 4-star facilities and amenities are a draw for guests who are locals and foreign guests. The room rates vary from RM120 to RM350.

“With the reopening of interstate and international travel, we are in a good position in terms of occupancy levels.

“Our future plans see us expanding to other states or even to neighbouring ASEAN countries with our proven business model.

“At this juncture, I also wish to point out the role played by the Penang State Government for their constant promotions and activities to bring back tourism to the city. The recent Q Net event is one such example which benefitted hotels, restaurants, cafes, bars and overall local economy, ” says Eng.

Meanwhile, several of their properties also offer coffeehouse or cafe services, mini mart and Japanese restaurant for the convenience of guests.
