Lawyer turned entrepreneur, Lee Sheah Liang is a man of many talents and interests.

After concluding his degree in Law, he worked in Kuala Lumpur for a few years only to find that his real interest is in business and pursuit of his passion in culture and arts.

He left his legal practice to return to his hometown of Johor Bahru to set up his co-working space.

Presently, his co-working spaces are branded as INFINITY8 Reserve, INFINITY8 and Kongsi Work. INFINITY8 Reserve JBCC is located in the heart of JB city.

Starting with one location, they became two and now he has eight co-working branches in JB city.

He has also ventured to Kuala Lumpur to open a co-working space there. Now he has set his eyes on opening his first co-working space in Georgetown, Penang too.

“We are still negotiating with several parties to finalise the location and other matters with the owners.

“We hope to wrap up the deal soon and bring our brand to Penang,” said Sheah Liang to Penang Hyperlocal in Johor Bahru recently.

Currently, his clients are mainly from the corporate sector, MNCs, individual entrepreneurs among others.

One of the highlights include their collaboration with Facebook Malaysia in one of the award winning branches, INFINITY8 Reserve JBCC.

This branch has recently been crowned “ Best Co-working Space, Malaysia & Asia” by PropertyGuru Asia Property Awards.

With a fair share of clients from the manufacturing, corporates and MNCs, they enjoy about 35-40 % of the market share in the southern region of Malaysia.

“However, some of the multinationals have their own standards and quality control in terms of the facilities at the co-working space.”

“Some examples are of safety, security (3-4 tier), direct access to certain floors, health, data security, privacy and even power supply back-up,” he added.

On a personal note, he is also the co-producer of [Drum Up JB!] which is now a permanent cultural attraction in JB and showcases the unique Malaysian culture of “ 24 Festive Drums”.

The unique cultural show is a critically acclaimed showcase which draws large crowds for their shows.

His interest in the ancient instrument began from his younger days in school and now has bloomed into his great passion.

Apart from being an entrepreneur and cultural activist, Sheah Liang also has great passion in building JB city and lifting up the local business communities.

“I love seeing the people and businesses in JB city thrive and succeed.” he added passionately.
